Palamos is one of the most lively towns on the Costa Brava all year round, thanks in part to its fishing and marina. Many families work in the fishing sector and there are many activities related to water sports, attracting visitors and participants in these sports throughout the year. The Xmas race is held every year in December, consisting of a non-motorized sailing competition that attracts thousands of fans. Sports such as KeitSurf, padelsurf, catamaran sailing, etc. are taught and practiced.
